It’s simple! Just draw a comic.
What should this all new comic look like?
It can be as factual or realistic as you want, just let the world know who you are as a comic artist.
It should ideally fit within the standard 10×15” format, but the main constraint is that it should be in black and white.
High-res scans if you’re an OG who works traditionally, please.

Next: include two variations of an avatar drawing representing you as an artist. Why two? Because your comic submission will be included in our annual roster of Official Collective Members and used for Our Member’s page to link to your socials. One image should be representative of your outer persona: who you present to the world. The second image (used inside of the printed roster with our biographies) should represent the chaos within.
You don’t even need to draw something new if you want to just pull a portrait from your original comic, just let us know which is which.

Lastly, stay in touch! We communicate primarily on our own server in Discord, but you can also reach us on our Instagram, or via email. Since you’re already on our website you can reach out to us via our Contact Form, as well.
Official Membership only lasts for one year, so at least come to one in-person meeting to meet the group!
To be considered a member the following year: either give us confirmation that you would like your previous submission in the new roster or take this opportunity to update your comic and submit a whole new one!

Members asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately. If a member engages in harassing behaviour, the mods/admins will take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, muting, or banning them.
Remember: you can’t give the rights to artwork that you didn’t make! If you don’t own the rights to a certain character or IP, don’t try to sell it through CASD. For any images that are not your own, please site the original artist.

No NSFW or obscene content without a filter in the general chat, and must be relevant to creating artwork. Additionally, while the occasional swear is perfectly fine for expressing strong emotions (such as “this shit rules!” or “fucking pay your interns man”), running your tongue just for the sake of it is not.
